Originally from New York, Nick took up rugby at the age of 18 when he attended the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.
Following appearances at development level for USA “A”, Nick’s professional career began in 2013 with S.S. Lazio 1927 in the Italian Eccellenza competition. In 2014, Nick switched from Lazio to Rugby Viadana before signing with Newcastle Falcons 2016.
Nick made his USA Eagles debut in an uncapped match against the All Blacks in Chicago in November 2016. The following week, he earned his first international cap against Romania. Nick played a key role in the Eagle’s historic 30-29 win over Scotland in the summer of 2018 which marked their first tier one victory.
In 2019, Nick was calling arguably the most successful lineout in World Rugby for the Eagles but he suffered a serious ankle injury while playing in a test match against Canada. He faced a race against time to make the RWC in Japan but displaying the energy and resilience that is typical of Nick, he made the plane to Tokyo and featured in 3 matches during the tournament. Following his return from the World Cup, Nick signed for French Pro D2 side Rugby Club Vannes.
Outside of rugby, Nick is a qualified engineer with a Master’s in Geotechnical engineering. He is a lover of fine food and enjoys to travel whenever he gets the chance. Nick also holds an Italian passport.
