Biography

Euan Burton has a wealth of experience as a Judoka, including two Olympic Games. He has medalled at European and World levels and has also won the prestigious Tokyo Grand Slam in 2009.

Post London 2012 Euan started fighting in the -100kg weight category, two weight categories above where he fought previously.

Glasgow 2014 was Euan’s last competition and he didn’t disappoint. Despite fighting 8kg light, Euan took the Gold - as well as being the flag-bearer for the national team.

Currently coaching, Euan loves his sport and relishes passing on his knowledge. His motivation, inspiration and technical knowledge have earned him huge respect amongst students and peers alike. An accomplished speaker, Euan relays his story eloquently and with an inspiring passion.
