Biography

In 2018 Chris signed a deal that keeps him at Edinburgh until 2020, which will help him to succeed within his rugby career and continue to show off his exceptional performances as a player.

Chris stepped into the professional ranks with Edinburgh on his first senior contract for the 2014-2015 season and has now become a regular in the first XV, earning plaudits for some fantastic performances of late.

Chris Dean captained Scotland at under-17 level throughout the Wellington Festival in 2011 and received a Scotland 7s Elite Development contract in May 2012. At just 19 years of age, Dean was the first Scot to score a try at the 2013 Rugby World Cup 7s in Moscow, in his country's opening match versus Japan.
